Blackwell Door Summer Exhibit
As part of the America 250 celebration, the Greater Astoria Historical Society presents the Blackwell Door Summer Exhibit at the Advance Masonic Temple, 21-14 30th Avenue, Astoria, NY. See a rare colonial-era door believed to date to 1765, once part of the Blackwell family home in Ravenswood, and view the British “Arrow of Confiscation,” or crow foot mark, carved into it during the Revolutionary War. Visitors should also keep an eye out for upcoming historical walking tours hosted by Alan Arichavala, ending at the exhibit.
