Why Donate Blood? 
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. In New York City, hospitals require a constant supply to save lives after accidents, surgeries, and for patients battling illnesses like cancer. The New York Blood Center has recently issued an urgent call for donations, especially for type O blood, as supplies are nearly 20% below what’s needed to meet hospital demands.

At Advance Temple, our commitment to charity and relief is more than just words—it’s action. One of the most direct ways we serve our community is by hosting regular blood drives. Blood is a vital, irreplaceable resource that hospitals rely on every day, and by opening our doors, we help ensure that patients in need have access to this lifesaving gift.
